For those of you who did not read My 2011 New Year’s Resolutions, I shared some of my goals for the year. Some said I was too ambitious and others said I may have difficulty measuring the results. Normally, I would monitor my progress and publish the results at the end of the year. I decided to share my progress with you every Friday. Increase workouts – Increase workouts from two (2) times a week to three (3) times a week.
I started exercising during the week (Wednesday) using a stationary bicycle. It was pretty boring compared to cycling outdoors on the weekends, but I am reading a book which makes it tolerable. If you are interested, it is The Accidental Billionaires: the founding of Facebook………….by Ben Mezrich. This week, I started riding twice (Tuesday/Thursday) during the week, because I enjoyed the reading so much. I finished The Accidental Billionaire and started Tick Tock by James Patterson.
Be more patient – In the past, I used my impatience to drive myself to reach goals faster and better.
This is difficult to quantify, but I am changing some personal habits and in the process of measuring the change. So far, I changed three (3) personal habits that relate to patience. Progress in increasing traffic for my blog reinforces that patience is necessary to maintain the effort.
Every Friday, I will publish my progress. For comparison purposes, I plain to maintain the first of the month for data comparison. I hope you find it interesting how I achieve my 2011 goals.

Good luck with this. This can be a daunting undertaking; however, I’m sure as you persevere, you will meet your website goals!
Thanks for the encouragement. I certainly am working on it every day.
You already are doing pretty well! I’m sure you’ll achieve your goals in no time! Good luck KC!
Thanks, it is a process that I am enjoying!
Having aggressive goals like that is great. Even if you don’t hit every one in its entirety, you’ll be in great shape at the end of the year even if you’re close!
Thanks, although I believe in the impossible, but you are right. Falling short will still be an accomplishment.
