Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays

December 24, 2014 by Justin

The holidays are family time.  Holidays in many parts of the world mean vacation.  In my former (CFO) career, the end of year was the busiest.  When I worked in the electronics/computer industry, the week between Christmas and New Years was a company shutdown.  In other words, we had paid time off, except I generally worked some days to prepare for year end.  As a teacher, this is vacation time!

Many people take time off (vacation) this time of year to be home with their children.  School age children are off for the holidays.  I am fortunate that my daughter’s birthday is during this time of year because we all get together.  Birthday parties are a good excuse to see friends and family, but I really don’t need the excuse.  Whether you are a child or an adult, we celebrate the season together.  There are holiday parties and invites to friends’ homes, it just doesn’t get better than this.  As I get older, I realize that time goes by very quickly and I value them even more.

I want to wish everyone, family, friends, colleagues and fellow bloggers during this special time of the year to appreciate these relationships because time goes by quickly.  Along with my daughter, our dog (Lucy) has a birthday now.   We adopted her two years ago at this time and is a wonderful addition to the family. So much has happened this year and I am sure that next year will be better yet!

Thank you for being part of my world!  I want you to know that I appreciate you stopping by or just knowing you.  There is no better time to connect with friends and family during the holidays.  Wishing you all the joys of the holiday season!  Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’m very appreciative that I am able to take some time off this year to share quality times with family.

Thanks. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you too. As I get older I value time much more than anything else. It is more important share experiences with friends and family.
