I know it is winter in most of the country, but in Southern California it will be in the seventies and eighties starting today. Winter is officially over in three weeks from now, but this is more like summer weather. It has been like this during the entire winter. We have had a very mild winter but each week it goes from warm to cold, although not like International Falls, Minnesota cold.
Southern California has great weather, smog, fires, earthquakes, traffic and expensive housing. In spite of all of this, I cannot think of living anywhere else. I can bicycle year round, go skiing within a couple of hours and go to the beach in thirty minutes. The real reason, we live here is my children live in California. I actually have lived longer in Southern California more than half of my life.
We may have some of the best weather in the country. I think I found some of the best articles of the week too. This makes a good segue to today’s picks for Friday Night Links.
The following articles caught my attention:
Super Frugalette – How to estimate your taxes for 2012…
Sustainable Life Blog – Tenets of Sustainability Know Thyself
Sweating The Big Stuff – Gas Prices are Skyrocketing. How High Will They Go?
The Amateur Financier – Leap Ahead Financially This Leap Day
The College Investor – How To Make a $1,000.000
The selection of blogs is up to the committee of one established by krantcents as a representative of the Academy of Frugal Journalistic Writers. That committee can be influenced by meaningful comments, signing up for my RSS feeds, backlinks, links, trackbacks, Facebook Likes, Twitter, Re-tweets, Digg, StumbleUpon, delicio, Yahoo Buzz, Google Bookmarks and other social media. If you plan on creating a single purpose political action committee (PAC) to buy advertising on my blog to solely influence the committee, please go ahead! Please understand it will not influence the results.
I read more than five hundred (500) articles a week and I highlight just five (5) in my Friday Night Links. Winter is almost over, soon it will be Spring. Thank you for joining me and reading Friday Night Links Winter Edition.
