Friday Night Links: Winners and Losers Edition

Friday Night Links: Winners and Losers Edition

February 24, 2012 by Justin

Why are there winners and losers?  Can’t we just get along?  I am not talking about lottery winners!  In sports contests, there is a winner and a loser.  In sports, we talk about a winning season, not winning every game.  Can you think in these terms?  The Academy Awards show is Sunday and I know they are just thrilled to be nominated.  Do you have to be a winner?

Living in Southern California, this show is significant to more than a few people.  Whenever I hear the nominees say they are honored just to be nominated, I think it must be just as good as winning.  Their status increased through the nomination along with their salary and prominence.  I wish that were true in the real world!  For me success means winning and failing is losing.  I learn so much more from my mistakes than my successes!  When I make a mistake or fail, I reflect on what I did and make changes.  Along with the changes, I step up my effort and usually succeed.

Success usually creates more success.  Your experience with success or failure will either help you or prevent you from success.  Some give up too soon and others do not try.  Success is not easy and it should not be taken for granted.  This makes a good segue to today’s picks for Friday Night Links.

The following articles caught my attention:

Please understand it will not influence the results.

I read more than five hundred (500) articles a week and I highlight just five (5) in my Friday Night Links. Stay healthy and enjoy life!!   Thank you for joining me and reading Friday Night Links Winners and Losers Edition.
