Friday Night Links Pinched Nerve Edition is a personal story. For about a week, I have been suffering with a pinched nerve. I would love to say it was thanks to too much snow skiing, off road BMX or a century ride. Perhaps, it would make a better story, if it was caused by something glamorous. You know, many hours of something that even few young men can do never mind an aging athlete! Unfortunately, I do not know what I did or how I did it.
The good news is it is getting better. I am treating it with a lot of TLC and medical treatment. In addition, a little therapeutic massage does not hurt either. It good I have a wife who is a Registered Nurse. The worst part is the numbness and tingling in the arm. It makes typing a little interesting. Don’t feel sorry for me, I normally never get sick and I am very healthy. This is just a momentary issue and I will be okay soon.
Seriously, your health should never be taken for granted and it is more important than all your successes. It is difficult to enjoy those successes when you are in pain. This makes a good segue to today’s picks for Friday Night Links.

I’m so sorry to hear about the pinched nerve. About a week ago I had back pain for some strange reason, and let’s say it was a horrible experience! Get better soon!
Thanks, I seem to be better although not pain free yet! It just takes time.
I feel for you: I have something up with my shoulder right now that is just beginning to heal. I wish you the best in healing progress!
Thanks, I just need a little TLC and no stress.
Sorry to hear about your injury!
In all of my physical training, I’ve gotten injured only a few times. Most of the time it was from something completely mundane, unrelated to physical activity. That’s the worst!
So true, I am a very active old(er) person and it does not appear to be tied to anything.
Nice links, ance again. Thanks KC and have a great weekend.
Great article on GOLD by Jacob @ My PF Journey. Very well written.
Thanks, although I do not invest in gold, it was a good explanation.
Hope you feel better soon KC! 🙂
Thanks, I am getting better everyday.
Ouch, good luck with the recovery!
Thanks, I am getting better everyday.
I’m glad you’re on the road to recovery. I never thought about my health in my 20s and 30s. Now, it seems a popular topic for my age group.
Thanks, normally I am in great shape and health, but these things happen. I am looking forward to another 30+ years of good health.
Never had a pinched nerve, but it sure sounds awful. You’re doing the right thing with good therapy and rest.
Thanks, I am almost back to normal, but it reminds you to not take things for granted.
Sorry to hear about your nerve and numbness. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Thanks, I am about 90-95%. The worst part is I cannot ride my bike!
