Friday Night Links Pfeffernuesse Edition is all about a cookies and links! This time of year, pfeffernuesse is eaten in Germany, Denmark and The Netherlands. It is a small round biscuit, spicy in taste and many recipes call for ground nuts. Some even have a chocolate base. There are many variations, but all are best with a hot beverage of choice.
By the time this is published, it is fitting that I will be eating some pfeffernuesse and a hot beverage. It seems equally appropriate that you may choose to have some too as you read the various posts I am featuring in the Friday Night Links. In the interest of full disclosure, I was not compensated for this article in any way by bakeries or cookie manufacturers. If there is anyone who would like to send me some though, I promise to eat and enjoy them. I don’t remember when I came across these wonderful little cookies, but I just love them. Whether you make them or buy them, they get better with age. I thought I would use pfeffernuesse as a way to introduce my Friday Night Links this week because I love pfeffernuesse and this week’s variety of articles.
Food of the holidays and Friday Night Links should be enjoyed! This makes a good segue to today’s picks for Friday Night Links.

I read more than five hundred (500) articles a week and I highlight just five (5) in my Friday Night Links. Is Friday Night Links Pfeffernuesse Edition only all about the cookies and links?

Hope you are enjoy your hot beverage and cookies. Sounds yummy. I will hopefully be doing the same this weekend. Cheers.
I am doing exactly that as I reply to your comment.
Enjoy the treats! Great round-up, even listed alphabetically. I’m guessing you’re a very organized person 😉 I love the clean-look of your blog as well.
Thank you, it is the accounting/financial training, I guess!
Great list.. dang I didn’t make the cut this time.

Have you thought about influencing the committee?
Hey Krant – thanks for including our post! Some Pfeffernuesse sounds good right now 🙂
I only think of it at this time of year, but I think they are available all year.
Pfeffernuesse sounds yummy, but they are quite a mouthful to say!
They are great with a hot beverage too!
Those cookies are yum!! My daughter and her friend just made snickerdoodles… and they were great. Oh, I love home made cookies.
Fresh baked cookies smell so good right out of the oven! They taste pretty good too. It is tough to pass up a cookie place in the mall when they take out the fresh baked cookies too. Pfeffernuesse remind me of the holiday season because they are generally popular this time of year.
I have to admit that I thought you were making up a word with “PF” in it!
Thanks for including a link to my article.
No, these are great tasting little white cookies. You’re welcome.
