This is my final Friday Night Links Edition! I decided to take my own advice and change direction! For the last six (6) months, I have been working on rebuilding my PageRank, MozRank and audience in general. I slipped tremendously in my MozRank and just recently got back some of my PageRank (3 v. 4). It is a little disheartening and it is time to change!
I am not quitting, instead I am making a lot of changes. I am changing my publishing dates, frequency and content. I do not plan on doing it all at once , but over the next few weeks. Initially, I will publish Tuesday and Thursday. I will add Saturday and eventually push it back to Friday. Will I change my content? Only to some extent! I plan on looking back at my articles over the last two (2) years to see which articles caught your attention. I will look at the number of comments and daily volume. As we all know, there are many more people who read our articles and never leave a comment.
I probably should have looked at these things sooner, but I was either distracted or busy with other things. No excuses! Stay tuned and let me know if you like what you see in the next few weeks. Changing direction is not easy, but I can still identify the best or my favorite articles of the week. This makes a good segue to today’s picks for Friday Night Links.
The following articles caught my attention:
The Ultimate Juggle – Free Things Cost You Money Too
Money Q & A – Why I Am Considering Refinancing My Mortgage
Ultimate Smart Money – How to start saving for Christmas
My University Money – Gender Ratio and Getting a MR Degree
Prairie Eco-Thrifter – The iPhone 5 And An Environmental Wake Up Call
The selection of blogs is up to the committee of one established by krantcents as a representative of the Academy of Frugal Journalistic Writers. That committee can be influenced by meaningful comments, signing up for my RSS feeds, backlinks, links, trackbacks, Facebook Likes, Twitter, Re-tweets, Digg, StumbleUpon, delicio, Yahoo Buzz, Google Bookmarks and other social media. If you plan on creating a single purpose political action committee (PAC) to buy advertising on my blog to solely influence the committee, please go ahead! Please understand it will not influence the results.
I read more than five hundred (500) articles a week and I highlight just five (5) in my Friday Night Links. Change Direction! Thanks for reading Friday Night Links Final Edition.
