For those of you who did not read My 2011 New Year’s Resolutions, I shared some of my goals for the year.  Some said I was too ambitious and others said I may have difficulty measuring the results. Normally, I would monitor my progress and publish the results at the end of the year. I decided to share my progress with you every Friday.You will see exactly how I am doing and monitor my progress.
Top 100 Personal Finance Blogs – I want to be part of the Top 100 Personal Finance Blogs. I am using Open Site Explorer (OSE), which is a link popularity checker and backlink analysis tool. You will notice the OCE figures did not change, I believe they change monthly. In addition, I am using Alexa Ranking to check my progress.
Below are my figures compared to the WISEBREAD 100 personal financial blog (#100 OSE results) and krantcents figures as of Jan 1, 2011[..]:

Increase workouts – Increase workouts from two (2) times a week to three (3) times a week.
I continue to ride my stationary (magnetic indoor trainer) bicycle twice (Tuesday/Thursday) during the week. I am continuing reading which makes the exercising go by really fast. If you are interested, I finished The Accidental Billionaires: the founding of Facebook………….by Ben Mezrich and Tick Tock by James Patterson. I started Strategic Moves by Stuart Woods this week.
Be more patient – In the past, I used my impatience to drive myself to reach goals faster and better.
In order to quantify patience, I am keeping a journal to record whenever I have that rushed feeling and the associated events. This will help me figure out why I am in such a hurry and what triggers such events. I expect this will change my attitude about life and help me relax.

You are doing better with your resolutions than I am. I kinda got thrown for a loop recently and I am trying to get back on track. When I am though, look out because I really hope to have more fire and a new set of priorities!
Thanks! As you can see, I am goal oriented. I focus on my daily tasks, the rest will take care of itself.
Excellent progress with your goals! I also had a set of goals, but I am not doing too well on them actually. Hopefully I can pick it up soon;
Thanks, break them down to daily tasks. That works for me.
Good work on the goals, and it seems as if you’re a focused person. With my goals this year, I was very ambitious – probably at the fringe of realistic, actually. I’ve knocked a couple out of the park, and fallen way,way short on a few others. In baseball, hitting .400 puts you in the Hall of Fame, so maybe I’m doing ok 🙂
My motto this year is “Impossible is just an opinion”. When I set a goal, I break it down to daily tasks and them concentrate on the daily tasks. Then I monitor and adjust my efforts to meet my goals. It sounds easier than it is! I struggle with it like everybody else, I just have the technique down.
I love to see such progress! I agree with Kris – you are doing great about your resolutions!
Thanks, I accomplished a lot, but there is so much more I want to do. I appreciate the encouragement.
