Post image for I Will Only Work for Fun!

I will work for fun or I won’t work!  Over the years, I have seen various signs such as work for food, beer, $ dollars, satisfaction, fame, money or the joy of working.  Too often these words are meaningless.  If you do not enjoy what you do, you should quit!  That’s right, quit your job.  If not quit, look for another job!  Change careers, start your own business or just plain do something else. Post image for Why Aren’t There More Women Leaders?

There should be more women leaders!  Recently, Fortune published 50 Most Powerful Women in Business listing CEOs or senior executives of mostly Fortune 1,000 companies.  Why is there only fifty (50)?  In the mid 80′s roughly 45% of college graduates were women  and now it is approaching 60%. More women are going to graduate and professional schools too.  We have been here before! Read More…

Post image for Are Temp Jobs the New Career Track?

Naturally, that means there are many more losers than winners. Read More…

Would you start a business at 59 years old?  Bob Chinn did!  His seafood restaurant is the highest grossing restaurant in the United States.  It is not in New York or Chicago or Los Angeles!  It is in Wheeling, Illinois.  It is just thirty (30) miles from Chicago.  It grossed $24 million in annual revenue (without alcohol sales)!  Not bad for an old guy.
