About
I am either at the beginning or at the end! Although this is the beginning of my blog, it is the culmination of a lot of work and time to reach this point. I spent 40 years as a Chief Financial officer, Financial and Computer Consultant, entrepreneur, teacher and now writer. Although I was in multiple careers, I had a reputation for making complex money issues understandable. I share this with you to illustrate the long winding road to where I am today. Blogging makes the most sense because it can be interactive and timely. What I learned from this adventure is never give up on your dream, but look for your path to the goal. This blog is the beginning of sharing some of my thoughts that I hope you will find interesting and useful.

40 years as a CFO…that would make you somewhere near my vintage. I spent 40 years as an engineer. I enjoy your site and plan to be back regularly.
Thank you, not all of my forty years were as a CFO! As a contemporary, you will understand when I say, as I age I become more reflective
That’s the district I’ve been subbing with for 9 years. I’m hoping to obtain a full time job within the next year (if the budget gets better!) Are you retired?
I have been teaching for 10 years. Don’t expect the budget to get better, however they will need to replace the retiring teachers. Good luck.
It would be great if you could share with the readers how do you do – achievements, current goals and your investments performance.
I use SMART goals and monitor my progress daily and weekly and adjust my efforts to achieve my goals.
It is refreshing to read a blog written from an older generation’s point of view – you have been added to my list
keep it up!
Thanks, I hope you come back often.
You have to be past my vintage, but I’m not all that far behind you. Now I know why I like your posts!
There’s something to be said for being the elder statesman!
Thanks for stopping by.
